Convert High-Voltage Flash to work with Digital SLR

Just found an old flash unit (ARCHIEVER 828) from an antique film SLR camera and wanted to use it with a modern digital SLR (Canon EOS400D), after some research I've found that those old flash may have a high voltage (up to 400v) at there trigger hot-shoes which may be damaging to a digital camera. After measurement with a digital multimeter, these flash got around 250v.
This because this flash lacks the isolation circuit that separates the high voltage circuit from the hot shoes. So we are about to make an isolation circuit using an Opto-TRIAC and an SCR device.

This circuit is powered by the 6v flash lamp battery (4x AA cell)

Wrap with electrical tape and place in empty space above the circuit board.

Finished Unit. Trigger voltage is now only 5-6 V.
